HONG KONG – Cristiano Ronaldo fever swept through Hong Kong this week as fans turned out in droves for the launch of the CR7 LIFE Museum, an immersive exhibition celebrating the football legend’s iconic career.
Hosted in a luxury shopping mall, the event marked the first-ever showcase of Ronaldo’s life and legacy outside his native Portugal. From glimmering Ballon d'Or trophies to rare jerseys and life-sized statues including one in Saudi attire, the exhibit offers fans a close-up look at the journey of one of football’s most celebrated icons.
Among the first in line was 14-year-old Alvin Lai, who arrived hours early just to be first to see his idol’s collection. "He’s my hero," he said, beaming. University student Henry Singh echoed the sentiment: "At 40, he's still breaking limits. That’s inspiring."
The exhibition spans 12,000 square feet and includes interactive zones, making it as much about inspiration as it is about fandom. Organisers describe it as a motivational space that reflects Ronaldo’s relentless drive, discipline, and dedication, qualities that resonate across generations.
Tomas Froes, representing the Ronaldo family office, revealed that the superstar is expected to visit the museum in person “very soon,” adding to the excitement. His club, Al Nassr, is also scheduled to play in Hong Kong next month as part of their pre-season tour.
Set to run for a year in Hong Kong, the exhibition will then move to mainland China, continuing its global mission to celebrate CR7’s legacy and inspire fans to chase their dreams just as Ronaldo did.
